Detoxification refers to getting rid of toxic and harmful substances from the body. Our body is now more exposed to such toxins, mainly because of the unhealthy lifestyles we have adopted. The toxins present in our body can cause many health problems, like bloating, nausea, upset stomach, weakness, and skin issues, etc. Thus, it is really important to remove these poisons from the body.
What is Detox water?
The best way to detoxify your body is by using Detox water. Detox water is basically an infused water that helps to cleanse your body from toxins and improves your health. Also, detox water helps to burn extra fat, and thus can be included in your weight-loss diet plan.
To make a detox water, take a gallon filled with water and the ingredients into it. Stir with a wooden spoon and refrigerate for 3-4 hours and serve. I’ll be sharing some easy DIY detox water recipes, below. Try them and enjoy their benefits 😊.
- Ginger-mint water

- Cucumber (thinly sliced) : 1
- Ginger root (peeled and sliced) : 2 inch piece
- lemon/lime wedges : 2
- Fresh mint leaves : 10-12
- Himalayan salt : a pinch
- Peppermint essential oil : few drops

Ginger is not only good for sore throat, but also it’s inflammatory properties help to reduce ailments like nausea and bloating.
2. Mint Cucumber chiller

This one is my personal favorite, having cucumber, lemon and mint. It is such a refreshing drink and should preferably be used in summers.
- Cucumber (thinly sliced) : 1 (medium sized)
- Lemon (halved into two) : 1
- Fresh Mint leaves : 8-10 leaves
Make this detox using the directions, given above and enjoy the magic it does.
3. Apple cinnamon detox water

According to Happy Dieter, cinnamon is believed to be the best natural ingredient for weight-loss. Likewise, apples are very good for your digestive system. Thus, the apple-cinnamon water is a great drink for weight-loss as well as overall cleansing of body.
- Apple (thinly sliced) : 1 (large)
- Cinnamon sticks : 2
4. Apple cider vinegar detox

There are infinite health benefits of apple cider vinegar, including improved digestive system and immunity, weight-loss, and detoxification. ACV is also used in a number of skin remedies.
- Apple cider vinegar : 1-2 tablespoons
- Honey : 1 tablespoon
Method – Mix Apple Cider Vinegar and honey in a glass of water and drink.
5. Mango ginger water

The mango-ginger detox water is metabolism boosting drink and also helps to improve digestion.
- Mango (peeled and sliced) : 1
- Ginger root (peeled and sliced) : 1 inch piece
